The Barber Agency has been serving the public since 1948, starting with Robert A. Barber. In 1972, Bob joined his father after attending Western Carolina University and worked together for fifteen years until Robert A. Barber’s retirement in 1987. Robert A. Barber II “Pike” joined the firm in May of 1994 after graduating from Western Carolina University with a degree in Finance. Pike’s expertise and understanding of financial products has been a great assistance to our customers; aiding them with financial planning and life insurance needs.
Bob and Pike endeavor to create long lasting relationships with our clients by providing them with the up most in service. These relationships are based on honesty, trust, and mutual respect. Bob and Pike’s commitment is to maintain professionalism through dedicated employees, continuing education, and state of the art technology to ensure our clients guaranteed satisfaction.
The Barber Agency, with three generations of a family owned business, handles all lines of insurance specializing in commercial insurance, personal financial planning, as well as auto and home. The Barbers have been recognized by the Insurance Industry and Nationwide Insurance as Elite in the insurance field.
Bob has been very supportive of the local community with six years of service as Dunedin City Commissioner, member of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, and Jaycees. He has also served as coach and manager of various youth sports programs. Pike is active in the Chamber of Commerce and has enjoyed playing soccer in the Dunedin and Suncoast soccer League.
In July 2000, we combined our Dunedin, Safety Harbor, and Palm Harbor offices to form our new location at 2321 State Road 580, Clearwater. This move was done to better serve our customers and to provide a superior working environment for all our staff.
